Security & compliance / shared responsibility

Controls that know where responsibility sits.

The gateway can coordinate payment, identity, authentication, risk, and evidence flows. It does not replace an operator licence, legal analysis, underwriting, or partner-specific compliance obligations.

Payment data

Reduce exposure deliberately

Use hosted, embedded, tokenized, or direct API patterns according to selected providers and the agreed PCI scope. Encrypt data in transit and keep secrets out of player-facing clients.

Authentication

Apply friction with context

Connect 3D Secure or other step-up flows where supported, record results, and preserve clear player return states when a challenge succeeds, fails, or is abandoned.

Fraud and abuse

Use account and payment signals together

Evaluate velocity, device, identity, behavior, route, payment history, and dispute context through rules and review paths that can be explained.

KYC, AML, and sanctions

Connect decisions, retain ownership

The payment flow can consume identity and screening results, place holds, and carry evidence. The operator remains responsible for its legal duties and vendor oversight.

Responsible gaming

Respect operator controls

Payment availability should respond to account limits, exclusions, affordability or source-of-funds workflows, and jurisdiction-specific requirements where applicable.

Disputes and evidence

Preserve the transaction story

Align payment state, authentication, account activity, digital fulfilment, communications, refund history, and route references for review.

Responsibility map

No single vendor “handles compliance.”

Operator

Licence position, player terms, responsible gaming, account controls, KYC/AML program, product legality, and oversight.

Gateway

Agreed integration controls, route logic, event integrity, access control, operational evidence, and configured handoffs.

Payment partner

Merchant approval, method rules, acquiring or payout controls, settlement, monitoring, and partner evidence.

Specialist vendors

Identity, fraud, device, sanctions, KYC, AML, or other services within their contracted scope.

Evidence boundary

What this site does not claim.

It does not claim a specific licence, PCI DSS certification, regulatory approval, bank relationship, payment-method partnership, uptime, approval rate, chargeback result, or coverage number. Applicable evidence is reviewed for the selected deployment and partners before production.

Start with the control boundary, then choose the route.

Share your operating model, markets, methods, and payout needs. We will use them to scope eligibility and the technical route.
